About VMRT Capt. Saurabh Kalia Memorial Nursing College
Established in 2023, VMRT Capt. Saurabh Kalia Memorial Nursing College is a tribute to the valor and sacrifice of Capt. Saurabh Kalia, a proud son of Himachal Pradesh and a martyr of the Kargil War. The college was envisioned by Dr. N.K. Kalia, Capt. Kalia’s father, to create a lasting legacy that combines the spirit of national service with the mission of healthcare education.
With support from Shri Shanta Kumar, former Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, and Mr. J.P. Gaur, Chairman of Jaypee Group, the vision became a reality under the dynamic leadership of Air Commodore Dr. Vimal Rai Dubey, Unit Head of VMI.
From its very first academic year, the college achieved full enrollment in its inaugural B.Sc. Nursing batch, reflecting the community’s trust and the strength of its foundation.
Set against the serene backdrop of Himachal Pradesh, the college offers a holistic learning environment equipped with modern classrooms, simulation labs, experienced faculty, and a student-centered approach.
