Shimla Nursing College envisages to create state of art resources for providing various nursing courses and thus prepare competent nurses for health setting at grass root levels, district hospitals, referral hospitals and specialized hospitals who would considerably be able to con-tribute in the promotion of health of people and in early diagnoses, appropriate care of sick, and prolong healthful life.
The College would provide conducive learning atmosphere for nursing students to gain professional competencies for undertaking role of nursing teachers, Nursing clinicians, researchers and administrator as well as take up leadership role in policy making at organiza-tion, at national and international level. The vision of nursing college is to prepare nursing for education and evidence based practice.

Shimla Nursing College is recognized by INC (Indian Nursing Council), HPNRC (Himachal Pradesh Nursing registration Council) as well as affiliated to HPU (Himachal Pradesh University)/ AMRU (Atal Medical & Research University, Nerchowk , Mandi-HP and duly permitted by government of Himachal Pradesh to its purpose of nursing education since 2009.Shimla Nursing College is a Unit of RCS Associates Charitable Trust (Regd) running nursing curriculum since 2010 instituted with a noble aim to uplift the women status in the society by training women to a high class of professional level so that they will commit themselves to ever rising demand of quality nursing services.
The College is currently running One Post Graduate Degree Program i.e M.Sc(N) with 25 students intake capacity , Two Bachelor Degree Program i.e. Basic B.Sc. Nursing with 40 intake & Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with 40 intake and One Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (G.N.M) with 40 intake and aspires to extend towards Short term, Certificate &Fellowship Nursing Programs under the Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla/ Atal Medical & Research University, Nerchowk , Mandi-HP. The Nursing College has a vision to create a bench mark in Nursing Education.
