Message from the Principal
Modern nursing with its proud heritage through its founder, Florence Nightingale, is
indeed one of the noblest professions in the world. Undoubtedly, Nursing remains the vital
component of any form of medical care.
The Nursing profession is the noblest of all profession and in immense demands
globally, offering a highly rewarding carrier. Established in the year of 2015, Jai Durga Maa
College of nursing aims to trained dedicated and expert nurses, capable of contributing towards
the development emerging health care system in public and private health care organization,
as well as community services.
The faculty of Jai Durga Maa College of nursing are committed towards preparing
students nurses to develop competencies that will reflect credit to nursing with a holistic
approach, nursing education, safeguarding clients and their families from harm.
At our college, Learning is facilitated by assuring quality educational experiences that
prepare the students for a diverse and ever changing heath care environment. Apart from in-
structional strategies that promote critical thinking leading to independent study and Laissez-
faire approach in education resulting in free pursuit of learning as well as ethical teachings are
adopted to foster student growth and development with best wishes.

Jai Durga Maa College of Nursing is established in the year 2015, which being
run under the chairmanship of Mr. Rakesh Dharwal.
This college is approved by H.P. Govt. affiliated to H.P. University Shimla
recognized by H.P. nurses registration and Indian Nursing Council.
This College has magnificent building with spacious classrooms and good
infrastructure physical facilities required to develop a students physically psychologi-
cally and socially, mentally and emotionally.
The college is equipped with laboratories with equipment’s and latest technol-
ogy helping a students to get practical knowledge regarding their profession. We have
developed spacious playground, recreation room and extracurricular activities in stu-
dents to keep them physically and mentally sound.
Clinical Trianing is provided to the students in Civil Hospital Joginder Nagar,
Civil Hospital Baijnath, Civil Hospital Padhar & special clinical training is also
provided to the students in Rajendera Prasad Govt. Medical College, Tanda
Kangra and Institute of mental health (Govt. Mental Hospital), Amritsar. The
students are imparted community health Training in both Rural and Urban areas.
The Library of college is enriched literature including good journals, magazines
and books. There are sufficient amount of books related to medicine, surgery, nurs-
ing, general knowledge, social sciences, pharmacology, community, sociology and
OBG etc.
College has sufficient and specious lecture halls for each batch. they are well ventilated. the desks are well spaced out. each lecture hall has the facilities to used latest audio visual teaching aids.

Our achievements- 100 % Result in each semester ever year. Our 3 students got the 2nd, 8th and 9th position under Atal Medical and Research University, Ner Chowk , Mandi.

The college of Nursing believes that the Degree Certificate Course in
Nursing will prepare nurses for first level position in nursing in both hospital
and community. Practice of nursing requires a good understanding of basic sci-
entific principals and it is influenced by advance in sciences & technology. Stu-
dents are helped to develop a sense of pride in their profession to have a desire
to continue to learn and to teach throughout their life. The faculty of the institute
of nursing except the responsibilities of helping the students to competent practi-
tioners.
The aim is to prepare nurses to practice at first level position in the hospital &
community to provide a primary, secondary, tertiary health care.
To develop & understanding of behaviour science applied in meeting the
nursing needs of patient.
To develop and ability to communicate effectively.
To prepare the students as an important members of a health team.
To develop and ability to plan and implement a nursing care, for promotion of
